2. Saving Recipes from Websites, Social Media & Photos
Tap the floating + button on the Home tab and choose Add a Recipe:
- 📸 Snap a Photo: Take a well-lit photo of a printed cookbook page or Grandma’s handwritten index card, or pick a screenshot from your camera roll. Make sure the ingredients and steps are clearly visible in the photo.
- 🌐 Website Link: Copy any recipe blog link in Safari or Chrome, then tap Website Link in Recipe Zero to skip all the pop-up ads and life stories automatically.
- 📱 Social Media: Copy the post link or caption from Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, or Facebook and paste it into the Social Media option.
3. Hands-Free Voice Cook Stand & Timers
Open any recipe and tap Start Hands-Free Cooking Stand at the bottom of the page:
- Voice Commands: Tap the microphone button when you want hands-free listening, then say “Next”, “Back”, “Repeat”, “Ingredients”, or “Timer”.
- Screen Stays Awake: While the Cooking Stand is open, Recipe Zero keeps your screen lit up so it never goes dark while your hands are messy.
- Built-In Kitchen Timers: Tap any highlighted cooking time inside a step to start a countdown timer right at the bottom of your screen, or tap + iOS Alert to set a reminder for long marinades and rising dough.
4. Backing Up & Moving Your Cookbook to a New Phone
Because Recipe Zero keeps your cookbook privately on your phone or tablet, it’s super easy to save a backup copy or move your recipes to a new device:
- Open the Profile tab and tap Backup & Restore.
- Tap Save Backup to save a backup copy of your entire cookbook to iCloud Drive, Files, or AirDrop.
- On your new phone or tablet, open Profile → Backup & Restore → Restore from Backup and tap 📂 Select Backup File.
5. Managing or Restoring Chef Pro Subscriptions
- Restore Purchases on a New iPhone or iPad: Open Profile → My Plan (or open the Chef Pro upgrade sheet) and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID.
- Manage or Cancel Subscription: Apple manages all billing directly. Open the iOS Settings app → tap [Your Name / Apple ID] → tap Subscriptions → select Recipe Zero to switch plans or cancel at any time.
